STEAMPUNK ADELINE MY STEAMPUNK CHALLENGE DOLL

For my Steampunk Challenge Entry I made "Steampunk Adeline, Keeper of Time Travel". She is a very Victorian young lady who loves to travel, in time, that is! With a blink of her Robotic left eye, she can travel through time. I used Deanna Hogan's doll pattern and had fun designing her outfit. She has on a puffy sleeve blouse, a three tier overskirt with leather waistband and leather straps in the front, a petticoat made from crinkle doupioni silk, black satin pantaletts, knee high leather boots decorated with mechanical wheels, a matching parasol, and a leather steampunk hat with all the trimmings.

FOLK ART CHRISTMAS SANTA CLAUS

Folk Art Santa Claus Doll by Bethann Scott

For my last Santa Claus of the season I made a more traditional Santa. I made him a red wool suit and stocking cap using pendleton wool. Santa is holding a Raggedy Ann doll, a Stick Pony Horse, and a 5" Nut Cracker. I think this will be the last Santa I will be able to sew.

CHRISTMAS SANTA CLAUS DOLL

Folk Art Christmas Santa Claus by Bethann Scott

Today I finished the second Santa Claus Make-Do Doll. His coat is made using 100% red wool. I trimmed the coat in a Whimsical Christmas Star print fabric. The tip of Santa's hat is trimmed with a Folk Art Star and I also tucked a couple of these stars into his bag.
Santa's bag has three whimsy folk art scenes... a santa claus, an angel and a heart. The bag is filled with greenery, pips, candy cane, a rocking horse, and two stars.

Siamese Gerber Diasy

While working at my sister's floral shop this week....we found a SIAMESE GERBER DAISY! How often does this happen? I grabbed it up quickly and told my sister it would be an interesting picture for my blog. My sister has owned her floral shop for the past five years and said she has never seen a siamese flower. Let me know what you think...

Little Red Riding Hood by Bethann Scott
My first Little Red Riding Hood Folk Art Doll is done and will be listed for sale shortly. Her cape is 100% wool and lined with red satin. Her skirt is also made using wool in a lovely navy blue color.
I enjoyed taking "Little Red Riding Hood's" pictures. I thought she looked wonderful with the wintery background behind her. I spent most of the day making her a custom made cape...my own design.
