AFRICAN AMERICAN COUPLE DOLL SET

I've been working on the male doll for the last week. He is wearing a white cotton shirt and brown linen overalls. The straw hat was purchased and not hand made. I haven't learned the art of making straw hats yet. This was a custom order for a lady that purchased the girl doll.

They are a wonderful couple. I've never made a man doll, except for a Santa, and you rarely see them. The straw hat and coveralls are just right!

Oh Bethann, I love, love, love them both. I knew he needed a straw hat, it is adorable on him!

Hi Sherri, You're right you don't see the male dolls too often. I'm glad I was prompted to make him.

Thank-you Judi, We were thinking alike about the straw hat. I like him with the hat too.
