I'm  working on my own new creation. Her body is finished. I was going to use broadcloth for the entire body, but I ended up using muslin. Muslin fingers are very difficult to turn unless it is a bigger size doll or a mitten hand. Therefore, I had to design a new hand to go with this muslin doll.

I just LOVE this new doll.Her beautiful contemplative look is lovely.She could be either..Madonna/Angel? looking forward to seeing what you do with her.I love this stage don't you? Doll making does surprise doesn't it? Some dolls won't be what you want- they will be what they want!hehe!!

Hi Judy, My name is Bethann Scott. I guess I need to add that info to my blog.

Yes, this stage is the fun stage. I love to do the face and hair. The clothing is sometimes a challenge because I have to do new body slopers to fit the doll. I teach myself along the way and hope to take costuming classes in the future.
