Currently I'm working on a doll that was meant to be entered in the "Traveler Challenge" at the Columbus Doll Show Convention for the display at AFICC 2015. Unfortunately, I didn't get the doll finished in time for the Convention. The requirements were for the doll to be 12"-14" tall. I had her body completed but she needed a costume. As you see she's still a work in progress.

So far I've sewn her a burgundy dress, a wool coat that is fully lined. Her arms are just pinned in place to see how the coat fit. I did about two mock ups prior to sewing this one. Last night I added her trim around the coat and the bottom of her dress.

I have an abundance of trims but I just couldn't find what I was look for in my stash. Then I came across this black boucle wool yarn and crocheted the trim on her dress. I may be adding some beads today. I'm not sure if she will end up a "Traveller" style doll or not.

You should have been a fashion designer...or maybe you are. How smartly your new lady is dressed; love the crocheted trim!
