BLOUSE WIP

Thought I would begin with a new blouse style I've never sewn before. I started with a cotton mock up. I have one arm sewn on the doll to check the sleeve fit. The cuff is pinned in place. There's lots of fine tuning to do and I'm not sure I like the "gathered" off the shoulder seam. This is the joy of costuming a doll! It would be much easier to use the applied costume method....but habits are hard to break.

I like this blouse. Getting the perfect fit and style just the way you want it can be so time consuming. I think it's fun but a learning process that never stops!
I look forward to seeing the finish outfit on this beautiful lady.

I call this process, "Guess, Test, and Revise." It surely seems I do a lot of revising! I also like this blouse. Of course, this little lady will be the best dressed witch this Halloween!

It's very time consuming, but I love custom-fitting free-drafted patterns to a doll!
