Pixie Fairy

Another elf doll is complete and this one received wings. I would say she is more of a Fairy than an elf. Maybe a Moss Fairy. I did several experiments while making her.  Trying a little of this with a little of that. It was a learning experience for me. There's a small sense of accomplishment to construct a doll from an armature sketch. I wasn't sure what she would become, she may not be perfect, but I enjoyed the process.

This is a photo of her head before I changed her ears.

A Moss Fairy...I like that! We need more of them! I love the way you dressed her...so creative! Your wire armature looks a lot like the one I make for the Skookum style Indian dolls. However, I add roving, slip it into a cloth body, then add bits of stuffing.

Oh I think she is perfect. It is indeed satisfying when you make it right from the scratch with your own pattern in mind even though you may hit snags along the way it is all a process of learning
