THE STITCH FIDDLER ~ PAPER CLAY DOLL HEAD WIP~ by Bethann Scott

For several weeks I've been sculpting using Creative Paper Clay. I started by drawing a sketch of the doll's body and armature to help me determine the size of each doll. I was only going to make one doll but decided to have three going at the same time while I wait for the clay to dry.

Here's the first doll for 2017. I'm not sure if I'm finished or if she will receive wings or not.

I started with sculpting her head

I made her a wig using lamb's wool and it does take forever to do this process.

And here she is before I decide whether or not to leave her as is or to tame her hair, give her a hat and wings... decisions....decisions....

Ah you are a true artist who organises herself first. This lady is beautiful as she is. I wouldn't change a thing of her. Look forward to seeing the others

To stop or to keep going... that's always the question. She is a beauty as she is! I am appreciating more and more what a true artist you really are!
