ALICE IN WONDERLAND AND THE DODO BIRD

I can't believe I haven't posted for over a month. I've been caught up working on Alice In Wonderland and the Dodo Bird and posting here and there on FB. Here's what I've been doing:

I made an armature for the Dodo Bird using a sketch I drew of the bird's skeleton. Then I built up the bird in layers . The beak and wings are movable.

The Dodo Bird  stands 15" tall and Alice is 12" tall. She won't be wearing what she has on...these were just cotton mock-ups. I usually try a few different styles. I didn't like the fit of this bodice jacket or the skirt....so I made others.

I made her a pair of fitted pantaloons using her body measurements. I didn't want a loose gathered pair of bloomers. The bodice was made using the drape method.
I made her a wig using Tibetan Lamb's wool in a golden blonde color.

And...I've been playing around with my new lighting equipment.
