I'm excited to say that I finished the dolls last night. I began working on these dolls quite awhile ago but they were set aside for other projects. It's so nice to complete this project.
One little detail I knew I needed was some doll food. After all, Red Riding Hood couldn't go to Grandma's House empty handed. I used Fimo clay to make, or shall I say bake, bread to put in her basket. The photo is how it looks before it went into the oven.
The over dress laces up the front and the eyelets were hand stitched.
I made her cape using red velvet and it's lined.

So much work, but oh so worth it! Red Riding Hood is so beautiful and Wolf is quite handsome, actually! And, I love the background!
So much work and a very beautiful doll.
Thank-you Mary (Chip Butter), yes much work but very much worth it I think.
Thank-you Mary Ann.
They're both wonderful! I made a Red Riding Hood doll--and a basket of goodies too--what is it about these dolls that prompts us to make tiny food? :~P Beautiful work, Bethann.
Wow she is amazing. All the details are beautifully done. Sometimes its worth taking your time with them. I had one shelved for a time but just started again on her.
Hello Bethan, Just discovered your blog via Mary Ann’s blog. Wow, so much I love here! I have Fumo! Never thought of making food!
I made two teeny “rag” dolls, when I first started blogging, I can fully understand the enjoyment of making them!
I will be back to visit your lovely blog again.

Hello to you too Barbara, glad you discovered my blog. It's always nice to meet another doll maker. I also made rag dolls when I first began blogging and gradually changed styles over time.
Thanks for your kind words and you're welcome back anytime.
:)
