To celebrate March and the soon arrival of spring, I made a grey wool rabbit. The rabbit is button jointed and can sit with legs positioned up or down. I will be making just a few of these rabbits and then moving on to finish other dolls in progress.

BROWN WOOL BUNNY

It won't be long and Easter will be here. I managed to sew another Bunny Rabbit.

This one is made using Brown Wool with lamb's wool needle felted to his tail, tummy and muzzle. He is button jointed for gently posing. These bunnies are fun to make. I only made two last year. I hope to do one or two more and then on to the next project.

WOOL BUNNY RABBIT

Time To Make Some Bunny Rabbits
It's that time of year and spring is on it's way! Flowers are starting to pop up and I am eager for the warmer weather. I've had a couple of requests for some Rabbit Dolls and I made this sweet rabbit using charcoal color wool and needle felted lamb's wool to his tummy, muzzle and tail.

WOOL BUNNY RABBIT DOLL ~WOOL EGGS~

Wool Rabbit Doll by Bethann Scott
Easter is just around the corner and I thought I would sew another rabbit doll. The rabbit is made with a wool blend fabric.I wanted to make some eggs so I thought I would try needle felting. I used sheep's wool for the egg base (instead of wool batting or roving). Then I needle felted wool crewel yarn to the egg. It took forever! No wonder the prices for needle felted art are so high. I don't think this type of art is for me unless it is very small. That's why the next two eggs were sewn with wool. I just didn't want to take the time to needle felt two more eggs.

SPRING FOLK ART BUNNY RABBIT DOLL

Folk Art Rabbit Girl by Bethann Scott

To celebrate Spring, even though it snowed today, I thought I would make a couple Bunny Rabbit Dolls. This time I decided to make a "Girl" bunny. She has Rusty Wire Whiskers. She is holding a basket with three wooden eggs decorated with crackle paint. The basket is trimmed with ribbon, rick rack, and a rusty heart!
